SUNDAY FUNDAY: Today's game marks the first Sunday game of the 2018-19 season for the Solar Bears. Last season, the Solar Bears posted a 9-6-0-0 record on Sundays.
SHARP-SHOOTING SHAW: Brady Shaw leads the Solar Bears with eight goals and 53 shots. The forward was able to add to his shot totals last night with a season-high 10 shots on goal, just one shy of the franchise single-game mark of 11 shared by Eric Baier (Nov. 8, 2015 vs. Florida) and Eric Faille (Nov. 17, 2016 vs. Greenville).
STEWART TO GET START: After making his Solar Bears debut last night in a relief appearance, Hayden Stewart will get the nod in between the pipes for Orlando this afternoon. The goalie previously played in the ECHL last season with the Cincinnati Cyclones, where he went 2-2-0 in four appearances with a 3.51 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage.
BEREHOWSKY ONE AWAY FROM 100: With 99 career wins behind the bench of the Solar Bears, Drake Berehowsky is already the winningest head coach in the team's ECHL tenure. His next victory will allow him to join IHL Solar Bears bench boss Curt Fraser as the second head coach of a professional hockey team in Orlando to reach the century mark in coaching wins.
