Alley Cats get even

Anderson, IN. The ABA Indiana Alley Cats got even with Toledo for last week's loss, handing the Ice a 119-104 defeat at the O.C. Lewis Gymnasium in Anderson, Indiana. Carl Edwards led the Alley Cats (22-2) with a career-high 36 points, hitting 14 of 18 shots from the field and 7 of 9 free throws, including four dunks. Edwards also had a career-high 13 rebounds to go with five assists and two steals.

The only two Indiana losses this season have been at Florida and at Toledo last Tuesday.

Chandler Thompson also registered a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds. He hit 8 of 16 from the field and 7 of 10 from the line and added four assists, five blocked shots and two steals. Shaun Fountain gave the Alley Cats three players with double-doubles as he collected 13 points and 10 assists, hitting all six of his free throws. Lester Jones and Mack McGadney also reached double figures with 16 and 11 points respectively.

Indiana shot 49 percent from the field compared to 40 percent for the Ice. The Alley Cats also held a 63-54 advantage on the boards, a 30-21 edge in assists and a 26-16 lead in free throws made. Indiana travels to Cleveland on Wednesday and Detroit on Saturday before returning home Sunday against Cleveland at 5pm. For more information, visit www.indyalleycats.com or www.abalive.com.
