RazorSharks looking for 11th straight win this weekend

(Rochester, N.Y.) The Rochester RazorSharks of the American Basketball Association won their tenth consecutive game last Saturday night as they defeated the Baltimore Pearls 138-106 in Maryland. The RazorSharks have won 14 of their last 15 games and remain in first-place in the ABA's Connie Hawkins Division with an 18-3 record. Rochester returns home on Sunday afternoon, February 5 to take on the Harlem Strong Dogs at 2:00 p.m. at the Blue Cross Arena.

SUPER BOWL SUNDAY MATINEE: The RazorSharks will play host to the Harlem Strong Dogs on Sunday at 2:05 p.m. at the Blue Cross Arena, with plenty of time to return home for the kick-off of the Super Bowl XL. Rochester and Harlem last met on New Year's Eve, with Rochester emerging with an exciting one-point victory101-100 at The Blue Cross Arena. The Strong Dogs are only one of three teams who have defeated the RazorSharks this season, beating Rochester in Manhattan on December 18 in double overtime.

Sunday is also "Kid's Day," where all kids 12 and under can purchase a general admission ticket for $5.00 when accompanied by an adult who purchases a regularly priced general admission ticket. The game will be broadcast live on WHTK AM-1280 with Gene Battaglia and Roosevelt Bouie handling the play-by-play. After the game, there will be a "Meet the Players" party at The Keg, located at 315 Gregory Street.

ABA NEWS: The ABA All-Star Weekend, featuring the ABA All-Star Game on Saturday, February 11 at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida, will feature RazorSharks forward Chris Carrawell playing for the East All-Stars and Rochester Head Coach Rod Baker as an assistant coach to the same East squad. The ABA Power Rankings feature the 18-3 RazorSharks steady at the #4 position.
