RENO, Nev.-Brandon Allen homered for the third-straight game Friday night, helping lift the Reno Aces to their third-straight win, a 9-5 victory over the Fresno Grizzlies at Aces Ballpark.

Allen hit his team-leading 14th homer in the sixth inning, a solo shot. Allen's blast was one of three Aces home runs on the night, as John Hester and Doug Deeds each also went deep in the victory.

Aces starter Wes Roemer (2-5) earned his first-career victory at Aces Ballpark, scattering five runs on six hits over six innings of work. Roemer walked four and struck out a season-high nine batters. TJ Beam, Zach Kroenke and Carlos Rosa all dealt a scoreless frame to preserve the victory.

Roemer's outing was rocky at the start, as Fresno pushed across three runs in the first to take a quick lead. But the Aces offense would respond in a big way. Reno answered with three of its own in the first, then went on to score five more unanswered runs to build a lead it would not relinquish.

The loss fell to Fresno starter Matt Yourkin (6-4), who surrendered six runs-five earned-over four innings of work. Yourkin walked four and punched-out three.

The series will continue on Saturday from Aces Ballpark with RHP Josh Collmenter (2-1, 4.66 ERA) getting the nod for Reno, and RHP Todd Wellemeyer (0-0, 0.00 ERA) toeing the slab for the Grizzlies. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. PT. On Saturday, 1,500 kids ages 18 and under will receive a specially-designed Reno Aces skateboard deck. Fans wishing to receive this giveaway item are asked to line up at the rotunda entrance along Evans Avenue, as this is the only gate at which the skateboard decks will be given away.

Tickets for all Aces games start at just $7, and are available by calling the Reno Aces box office at (775) 334-7000 or by visiting RenoAces.com. The brand-new Freight House District, located just outside Aces Ballpark, is open seven days a week, on both game days and non-game days.
