San Antonio Missions News Release
TULSA - Logan Allen and Jason Jester combined on the 13th no-hitter in San Antonio's team history as the Missions completed a sweep of the Drillers with a 6-0 win Thursday night at Oneok Field.
Allen worked seven innings but had to call it night after reaching 102 pitches. The lefty walked a career-high five and also fanned seven, increasing his league-leading strikeout total to 76.
The Missions scored all of their runs in the 5th inning off Logan Bawcom.
Michael Gettys and Taylor Kohlwey started the frame with back-to-back homeruns.
Allen followed with his first professional hit before Fernando Tatis clubbed the Missions third homer of the inning.
It marked the first time in nearly four years that the club hit three homeruns in one inning.
The no-hitter was the first thrown against Tulsa since 2010 and it was the first-ever at Oneok Field. The ballpark opened in 2010.
San Antonio completed its third sweep of the season and will continue the road trip tonight in Springfield against the Cardinals.
