The family events start at 5:30 PM on June 18th and will include live bands on the Concourse, children's games, Worcester Sharks' shoot-out, clowns, face-painters, balloons, bounce houses and other activities for the young and young at heart. Post-game fireworks will complete the evening. Our business and educational community, including University of Massachusetts Medical School, Unum, and the College of the Holy Cross, among many others are stepping up with donations direct to the American Red Cross and those announcements will be part of the lead up to the event and the event itself.

"Once again, the City of Worcester and our community partners have stepped forward when they are most needed," said Nicole Valentine, Director of Emergency Services for the American Red Cross of Central MA. "We have seen the faces of the victims first hand and the need is of a magnitude that is difficult to describe. The generosity of the City and our community partners will allow us to turn this community's compassion into direct care."

CSXT is the presenting sponsor for the June 18th event to include the post-game fireworks. We are very grateful for their partnership and their desire to assist all those in such great need.

"It is impossible to see the devastation and loss brought about by last week's tornadoes without wanting to help," said Dr. Michael F. Collins, Chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. "At times like these, we are reminded of how deeply entwined we are in the towns and communities of Massachusetts, and how a disaster like this touches us all. I applaud City Manager O'Brien for his leadership of this noble effort. We at UMass Medical School are eager to stand with the City Manager and offer assistance to our friends and neighbors in western Massachusetts." Our media partners at Worcester Telegram and Gazette and Worcester Magazine, along with Charter Communication's Channel 3, will be with us every step of the way, highlighting more and more details of the event and sponsors as it draws closer to game day.

Stay tuned for more information in the coming days.
