Pittsfield 6, Worcester 4
The Pittsfield Colonials scored three runs in the eighth inning to rally from a 4-3 deficit and beat the Worcester Tornadoes 6-4. Colonials DH Chris Torres went 2-for-4 with three RBIs while 1B Jerod Edmondson scored two runs and 2B Billy Mottram drove in a pair. Pittsfield reliever TJ Wink collected the win in relief. He tossed 1 2/3 innings allowing only a hit. For Worcester in defeat, 3B Mark Minicozzi went 3-for-4 with a run scored.
New Jersey 4, Newark 0
New Jersey plated three runs in the first inning to take an early 3-0 lead and that is all they would need as they cruised to a 4-0 win over the Newark Bears. The Jackals pitching staff was solid as the combination of starter Chris Vasami and relievers Steve Fox and Jared Locke allowed two walks and four hits while fanning seven batters. Vasami notched the victory and evened his record at 1-1. Jackals 2B Argenis Reyes led the offense going 3-for-5 with two runs scored.
