AMARILLO, Texas -- The Texas AirHogs (19-27) swept a double header from the Saltdogs (23-22) in front of 400 fans at Potter County Memorial Stadium Wednesday night.

Devon Rodriguez swatted a two-run homer in the sixth to give the AirHogs a 3-2 victory in game one.

Texas jumped out to a 7-0 lead by the fourth of game two, and held on for an 8-4 win to clinch the series.

Rene Leveret went 2-for-4 with a ground rule double in game one, recording his 1,000th career hit.

Curt Smith had four hits and five RBI on the day.

The first loss snapped a five-game win streak for the Saltdogs and a five-game losing streak for Texas.

The seven-inning double header made up for Tuesday night's game having been postponed due to stadium electrical issues.

The Saltdogs open a four-game series at Joplin Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. RHP Casey Barnes is expected to face RHP Raul Rivera.

Radio coverage begins at 6:35 p.m. on KFOR FM 103.3/1240 AM.
