ST. PAUL, MN (July 7, 2016) - After Tuesday night's game started at 10:15 p.m. and was halted just past midnight because of the American Association curfew rule the Saints finished Wednesday evening where they ended Wednesday early morning as they won 4-3 over the Joplin Blasters at CHS Field in front of 7,528.

The Saints jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning when Alonzo Harris led off with a single and Brady Burzynski followed with a single to left. Nate Hanson walked to load the bases. A sacrifice fly from Angelo Songco gave the Saints a 1-0 lead. Tony Thomas' infield single to third loaded the bases again. Willie Argo drove home two with a single to left to give the Saints a 3-0 lead. After a walk to Tony Caldwell loaded the bases Aaron Gretz knocked in a run with a sacrifice fly to make it 4-0 Saints.

In the second Geraldo Valentin started it for the Blasters with a dribbler to third for an infield single. Juan Medina singled to left to put runners at first and second. A walk to Sergio Leon loaded the bases. Saints starter Robert Coe would strike out KC Huth for the second out of the inning, but Oscar Mesa doubled home two to make it 4-2.

In the fourth the Blasters cut the Saints lead to 4-3 on a solo homer by Leon, his second of the season.

Saints starter Robert Coe went 6.0 innings allowing three runs on eight hits while walking three and striking out five. He earned the victory his 37th as a Saint, just three shy of surpassing Charlie Ruud (2005-09) as the winningest pitcher in franchise history.

Caleb Thielbar tossed 2.0 hitless, shutout innings of relief while Ryan Rodebaugh tossed a perfect ninth to pick up his league leading 12th save of the season.
