
Aeros to Air for Games on FOX Sports Houston

HOUSTON, Texas - The Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL) have announced today that the team will have four games aired live on FOX Sports Houston. The first game is Friday, January 16th against the Toronto Marlies at Toyota Center. Coverage will begin at 7:30 p.m. CST for all four broadcasts.
"The Aeros are thrilled to continue our partnership with FOX Sports Houston, and provide hockey fans in Southeast Texas the opportunity to see some of the NHL's stars of tomorrow," said Courtney Eidman, Aeros Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
"We are excited to increase Aeros coverage as we continue to expand our commitment to the Houston market", said FOX Sports Houston Sr. Vice President/General Manager Steve Tello. "We have designated Friday evenings for the Aeros and will promote the package under the banner Friday Night Ice."
FOX Sports Houston will also air games against the Binghamton Senators on January 30th, and two games against the Rockford IceHogs on February 27th and March 27th in a rematch of last season's playoff matchup. The four games on FOX Sports Houston will reach more than 2.5 million homes in Houston and surrounding communities. FOX Sports Houston is on Comcast channel 37, DirecTV channel 678 and various channels on Dish Network (check local listings).

Friday, January 16 vs. Toronto at 7:30 p.m.
Friday, January 30 vs. Binghamton at 7:30 p.m.
Friday, February 27 vs. Rockford at 7:30 p.m.
Friday, March 27 vs. Rockford at 7:30 p.m.

The games will also be aired via tape delay on FOX Sports North (Minnesota) with the first game against the Toronto Marlies scheduled to air on Hockey Day Minnesota on Saturday, January 17th at 1:30 a.m. That game will also air primetime on FOX Sports North on Wednesday, January 21st at 7:00 p.m. The Aeros' January 30th game against Binghamton will be aired on Monday, February 2nd at 7:00 p.m. The final two games against the Rockford IceHogs will air on FOX Sports North on Monday, March 2nd at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 28th at 6:00 p.m. respectively.
Aeros' broadcaster Joe O'Donnell will handle the play-by-play duties for all four games and Warren Holmes will handle the color commentary.
The Aeros just returned from their longest road trip of the season and will play at Toyota Center for the first FOX Sports Houston game on January 16th against the Toronto Marlies. The puck drops at 7:35 p.m. For tickets or more information visit AEROS.com or call (713) 974-PUCK.
