Aeros recall D Maxime Fortunus; website hits up 41 percent

HOUSTON, Texas – The Houston Aeros have recalled defenseman Maxime Fortunus from the ECHL's Louisiana IceGators, the teams announced Wednesday. Fortunus is expected to be available Thursday as the Aeros take on the Rochester Americans at 7:05 p.m.

Fortunus, 21 (7/28/83), has posted five points (1-4=5) and six penalty minutes in 13 games with the IceGators. The 6-foot, 190-pound native of La Prairie, Que., appeared in 12 games last season with Houston, collecting two assists and two penalty minutes. Fortunus spent most of his 2003-04 rookie campaign with Louisiana, totaling 18 points (3-15=18) and 27 penalty minutes in 64 games. Fortunus played his junior hockey with Baie-Comeau of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Also, daily unique visitors to www.aeros.com in November were up 40.8 percent from November 2003, the team announced Wednesday. An average of 2,483 unique visitors came to www.aeros.com during November, including 3,253 on the 29th - the third biggest day in team website history.

Aeros.com enjoyed a 28.8 percent increase from 2003 and a 2,653 visitor average during October.

Overall since October 1, visits to www.aeros.com are up 30.0 percent. An average of 2,487 people per day have logged on to www.aeros.com since the beginning of training camp.
