. On pause. The Aeros and Phillies will continue a suspended game on July 25th in the bottom of the fourth inning with the score tied 5-5. Center fielder Jordan Henry began the game on a strong note as he doubled and scored on a sacrifice fly in the first. Akron continued to pounce on Phillies starter Ty Taubenheim in the second, taking a 2-0 lead on an RBI single from left fielder John Drennen. Head followed with a two-run homer to right on his first pitch. Reading responded as Kevin Mahar provided a solo home run with one out against lefty starter Kelvin De La Cruz. A bases loaded walk to Matt Rizzotti in the third then made the score 4-2. Akron added their final run on a single from second baseman Jason Kipnis in the fourth. De La Cruz left the game in the chaotic fourth after a pair of runs scored. Reliever Bryan Price entered the game and forced the inning's second out on a fielder's choice.
