Aeros Make Roster Moves

The Aeros made a couple of roster moves today as IF Justin Toole was transferred to Class A Kinston and OF Jerad Head was received from Class AAA Columbus.

Toole played in three games for the Aeros, most recently in the August 14th matchup against New Britain where he went 1-for-2 with a run scored. His three-game totals were 1-7 (.143) with a run scored, two strike outs, a sacrifice, and an error.

Outfielder Jerad Head returns to the roster where he has a current 13-game hit streak with the Aeros dating back to July 10th against Erie. He joined the Clippers on July 31st and went 10-43 (.233) with a home run, four doubles, six RBI, seven runs scored, a sacrifice fly, and three hit-by-pitches in 12 games. During his first appearance with Akron this season, the Topeka, Kan., native played in 49 games with a batting average of .299 (53-177), 10 home runs, 15 doubles, 13 walks, 28 RBI, 32 runs scored, 33 strike outs, two stolen bases, a sacrifice bunt, a sacrifice fly, three hit-by-pitches, 10 ground outs into double plays, and three errors.

An updated roster and transactions list are attached. The Aeros roster remains at the full 24 men. Anthony Reyes is with the team on a rehab assignment but is not listed on the roster. Head will wear No. 11 when he makes his return with Akron tonight in Reading.
