NORFOLK, VA - The Admirals won both their games last week. On Friday, February 18th, Duncan Keith netted his first professional hat trick, also the first hat trick by a defenseman in Norfolk's history, as the Admirals downed the Hershey Bears 6-1. Norfolk picked up another two points on Sunday February 20th, when they shutout Hartford 2-0.
Tonight the Ads take on Albany for a special 6:00 pm start. They then travel to Springfield on February 23rd, Worcester on the 25th, back to Springfield on the 26th and finish off the week in Lowell the following night.
STANDINGS
Norfolk (30-18-1-4) is currently tied for third (65 points) with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (27-16-5-6). Binghamton (30-19-4-4) and Philadelphia (31-16-2-4) share first place with 68 points apiece. Fifth place is held by Hershey (29-25-1-0, 59 pts.), followed by Bridgeport (23-26-1-1, 48 pts.) and Albany (17-26-5-5, 44 pts.).

ADMIRALS NOTEBOOK
· Duncan Keith's hat trick on February 18th was the first by a Norfolk defenseman in the team's history. Keith's three goals were also the second hat trick by the team in lass than a month.
· Ajay Baines registered his 100th AHL career assist on February 20th.
· Michael Leighton is 7-2-1 over his last 10 starts with a 1.18 GAA, a .950 spct. and three shutouts during that stretch. Leighton is third among AHL goaltenders with 1.96 GAA and .921 spct.
· Rene Bourque (5g, 3a) and Matt Keith (1g, 7a) each have eight points in Norfolk's last eight games.
· Norfolk kicked off their 10-game road trip with a with win over Hartford on February 20th, extending their road winning streak to four and having not lost a road game since December 26th.
· Norfolk ranks second in penalty killing in the AHL, denying 92.5% of opponent's power play opportunities.
