Magowan recalled from Augusta

Albany N.Y. - The Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League announced today that the New Jersey Devils have recalled Kenny Magowan from the Augusta Lynx of the ECHL.

Magowan, 24, ranked third on the Lynx with 15 goals and 22 assists totaling 37 points in 50 games played this season. The Kelowna, British Columbia native was originally drafted by New Jersey with their 12th choice (198th overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft and went scoreless in five games with the River Rats during the 2003-04 campaign.

Albany continues its current four-game homestand against the Norfolk Admirals in a 6:00 p.m. face-off at Pepsi Arena tonight. The River Rats welcome WWE Superstar John Bradshaw Layfield to the club's game on Friday, February 25th against the Binghamton Senators at 7:00 p.m. The WWE Smackdown Champion will be available for pictures and autographs at select points throughout the game and returns to Pepsi Arena for a taping of WWE Smackdown on March 1st at 7:30 p.m.

The Albany River Rats, in their 12th season as a member of the American Hockey League, are owned and operated by Capital District Sports Inc., and serve as the primary affiliate of the Stanley Cup Champion New Jersey Devils.
