Admirals Trade for Goaltender Adam Courchaine

NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals announce that the ECHL club has acquired goaltender Adam Courchaine from the Wheeling Nailers for future considerations.

Courchaine, 26, made 66 appearances in the ECHL from 2010-13 with Reading, Alaska and Greenville. The 6-foot-2 and 200-pound goalie has a 38-18-7 career ECHL record, 2.45 goals-against average (GAA), and .905 save percentage (SV%). A native of Kanata, ON, Courchaine played 31 games with the Mississippi RiverKings of the Southern Professional Hockey League last season, completing the year 14-13-2 with a 2.49 GAA and .911 SV%. He joins the Admirals from the Louisiana IceGators (SPHL) where he posted a 5-6-2 record, 2.72 GAA, and .911 SV%.
