
Admirals open training camp Monday

Milwaukee Admirals News Release
The Milwaukee Admirals will begin their 2005 Training Camp on Monday, September 26th with physical testing in the morning and practice at 1:30 pm at the Kern Center on the campus of the Milwaukee School of Engineering. The team's camp will last for 12 days and culminate with the team's first game of the season on Saturday, October 8th at Grand Rapids. Head Coach Claude Noel returns for his third season behind the bench for the Admirals after guiding the team to back-to-back 100-point seasons, the first time in franchise history that has been accomplished. Milwaukee will play three exhibition games during the course of training camp: Wednesday, September 28th at 7 pm at the Mullett Center at Hartland Arrowhead High School, Saturday, October 1st at 7:00 pm at the Kern Center, and on Sunday, October 2nd at 3:00 pm at the Hoffman Estates Park District Community Center and Ice Arena in Hoffman Estates, IL. Most of the players who will fill the Admirals roster on opening day are still in training camp with the Nashville Predators. Those players in camp with the Preds who played for Milwaukee last season include: Paul Brown, Brian Finley, Vern Fiddler, Darren Haydar, Dan Hamhuis, Simon Gamache, Kevin Klein, Libor Pivko, Timofei Shishkanov, Brandon Segal, Jerred Smithson, Ryan Suter, Jordin Tootoo, Scottie Upshall, Jeremy Yablonski, and Greg Zanon. All practices are open to the media. However, those interested in speaking with Admirals Owner Harris Turer, President Jon Greenberg, or General Manager Phil Wittliff should contact Charlie Larson at (414) 227-0807 to set up an agreeable time. Media day is scheduled for Wednesday, October 12th at the Bradley Center. Exact times will be released soon.
