Admirals Minority Owner Sheets to Start MLB All-Star Game
July 14, 2008 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI-Ben Sheets is now the starter for the National League at the Major League Baseball All-Star game tomorrow, and that still gives Milwaukee Admirals fans a chance to get the Sheets' Savings on their season tickets.
In order to honor the selection of Sheets, a minority owner in the Admirals and Milwaukee Brewers pitcher, the Admirals are offering any person $15 off the price of any of the team's already significantly discounted season ticket packages for the 2008-09 season purchased until the noon on Wednesday, July 16th, the day following the MLB All-Star Game at Yankee Stadium in New York.
"We are thrilled for the success that Ben has had on the mound this season," said Admirals President Jon Greenberg. "To be selected to start the All-Star game is a tremendous honor and we wish him the best of luck in New York."
Sheets, who has been a partial owner of the Admirals since the 2005-06 season, has posted a 10-3 record with a 2.85 ERA and 108 strikeouts on the season. This will be the fourth time in his career and the second consecutive season that the Baton Rouge, LA native has been selected to the NL All-Star Team.
With the Sheets Special, the price of an Admirals Season Ticket Package will be as low as $130 for a 10-Pack of Build-Your-Own Plan Vouchers, which is a savings of $30 off the face value of the ticket. Full Season Tickets will cost as little as $535 and Half Season Tickets will be priced starting at $265 per ticket.
For full- and half-season tickets the deal is good on each ticket purchased. For example, a person who buys two full season tickets in the Admirals Quarters (the first row all of the way around the rink) with the Sheets Special will pay just $1410, $30 off the regular season ticket price and an amazing savings $270 off the single game price of the tickets.
The offer is only good on new season ticket orders. For full pricing details on all Admirals Season Ticket Packages or for more information fans can call the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550.
