Admirals Fall to Rockford 4-0

Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI--Rockford IceHogs goalie Michael Leighton stopped all 18 shots the Admirals threw at him as Milwaukee dropped a 4-0 decision to the Hogs Thursday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
It was the first time this season that the Ads had failed to scored and it extended the team's losing streak to three games.
The IceHogs struck first at the 9:51 mark of the opening period when his shot from the right circle snuck by Ads netminder Magnus Hellberg and trickled into the back of the net.
The Admirals didn't get much going in the first, totaling just four shots on goal, all of which were stopped by Leighton.
Matt Carey pushed the Hogs lead to 2-0 just 2:42 into the second when he connected on a one-timer for his fourth of the season.
Milwaukee tallied nine shots in the second period, thanks in large part to three power-play chances, but again they couldn't solve Leighton.
Rockford's Drew Leblanc gave the Hogs a three-goal lead just 68 seconds into the third period. Leblanc took a feed from Cody Bass while crashing the net. Hellberg made the first save, but LeBlanc corralled the rebound and pushed it into the Milwaukee net.
Brennan finished out the scoring on the night with his fifth tally of the season with just less than four minutes left in the game.
The Admirals continue their season-long five-game homestand when they host Oklahoma City on Saturday night at 7 pm.
