Ducks Trade Blacker, Draft Pick to Florida for Robak

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has traded defenseman Jesse Blacker and a future conditional draft pick to the Florida Panthers, in exchange for defenseman Colby Robak.

Blacker, 23, made his NHL debut on November 28 against the Chicago Blackhawks, taking the ice for nine shifts and 6:03 of ice time. The Toronto native has played in 15 games for the Ducks ' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals, registering five assists and nine penalty minutes. Blacker was second among Norfolk defensemen in assists, and third in shots on goal (25). In 195 career AHL games with the Admirals and Toronto Marlies, Blacker recorded 58 points on 11 goals and 47 assists, as well as 138 penalty minutes. The 2009 NHL Draft pick has also logged 20 career Calder Cup Playoff games, totaling a goal and two assists.

The Admirals return home on Wednesday, December 10 when they host the Charlotte Checkers.
