Hamilton Bulldogs News Release
HAMILTON, ONT. - The Hamilton Bulldogs announced today that the club will recognize the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as part of an in-game ceremony during tomorrow's game against the Toronto Marlies at 7:30 p.m. at FirstOntario Centre on Military Appreciation Night.
"The Hamilton Tiger-Cats once again captured the hearts and attention of the City of Hamilton this past season, capping things off with another appearance in the Grey Cup," said Bulldogs president Stephen Ostaszewicz. "They battled right to the very end and came extremely close to winning a Championship. As professional sports allies in Hamilton, we're pleased to have some of the Ti-Cats team in attendance as we recognize their efforts on Friday night."
The ceremony planned for the first media timeout after the 10 minute mark of the first period will include a video tribute. Ti-Cats representatives in attendance will include wide receiver Bakari Grant, defensive end Eric Norwood, linebacker Rico Murray and offensive lineman Mike Filer.
Prior to the game, the Bulldogs will honour the late Cpl. Nathan Cirillo and the service and sacrifice of all of those that serve in the Canadian Armed Forces as part of the club's Military Appreciation Night. In addition to the proceeds from the jersey auction on bulldogsauction.com, the Bulldogs will donate $2 to the Marcus Cirillo Trust from every individual and group ticket sold to the game.
If any individuals or businesses are interested in donating tickets for members of the Canadian Armed Forces to attend the game, please contact Brittany Arner at brittany.arner@hamiltonbulldogs.com or 905-546-8182. The public can donate to the Trust directly by going to a TD Bank branch and asking to give money to the 'Marcus Cirillo Trust'.
