WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL) have assigned forward Matia Marcantuoni to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton from Wheeling (ECHL), it was announced today. In addition, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton has signed forward Sahir Gill to a professional tryout agreement (PTO).
Marcantuoni began this season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, registering one assist in eight games. The 20-year old has compiled 10 points (4G-6A) in 11 games with the Nailers.
