Admirals Announce Friday Night Live Five, Plus One
January 5, 2006 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI-Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today the creation of a new ticket package called "Friday Night Live Five, Plus One." The package highlights the eight Friday night home games that the Admirals will play in February, March and April this season.
For just $60 fans will receive a ticket for any five Friday home games beginning in February and going through the rest of the regular season, a savings of $15. In addition to the five tickets, fans will get a voucher good for any other home game during the regular season with the exception of the February 25th game.
"Our Friday night promotional schedule is phenomenal," said Greenberg. "This new ticket package offers fans a great opportunity to be part the action and save $30 in the process."
The Admirals remaining Friday night games are loaded promotions and entertainment, highlighted by the Uecker Jerseys and the Ben Sheets Bobblehead Doll. On February 17, the Ads will don plaid "Bob Uecker Jerseys" that are similar to the ones used in the team's TV Commercials during the mid-90's. On March 10, the first 3,500 fans will receive a bobblehead doll of Brewers Pitcher and Admirals Investor Ben Sheets courtesy of M&I Bank. The bobblehead features Sheets in an Admirals jersey with a hockey stick and his baseball glove.
In addition to the Sheets Bobblehead, other giveaways planned include a Roscoe Bobblehead, presented by US Bank of February 3, Cinch Sacks on February 10 courtesy of UW-Milwaukee, Patrick Cudahy Cheer Stix on February 17, Athletic Supporters from Hockey Haven on March 3, Pint Glasses from the Milwaukee Ale House on March 17, Admirals Baseball Hats, courtesy of Image Mark, on March 31, and Team Pictures from The Aurora Sports Medicine Institute on April 14.
Various acts and bands will perform at Ads games on Fridays in 2006 as well. Reinhart and Mahoney bring the Wisconsin Marching Band to Bradley Center on February 3 and the Hanson Brothers from the movie Slap Shot will do their shtick on March 3, courtesy of Miller Lite, while Pat McCurdy will entertain fans with his act on March 31.
The game on February 10th will prove to be the hairiest game of the year and it will have nothing to do with what happens on the ice. Nationally renowned comedian Dobie Maxwell will perform at the game and then serve as a judge in the Milwaukee Admirals First Annual Hairiest Back Contest, where the fans with hairy backs compete for great prizes.
The Friday Night Live Five ticket plan is only good for the Stern & Bow seats and cannot be used for seats in the Poop Deck or in conjunction with any other ticket special.
To order the Friday Night Live Five package fans should call the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550.
