LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Zeke Spruill was excellent for Reno in his first game since coming off the disabled list, but the bullpen allowed seven runs in the 7-2 Aces loss Monday night at Cashman Field.

Spruill allowed just two hits in the outing, while walking one and striking out two over 5.0 shutout innings.

A sacrifice fly by Tony Campana plated Ed Easley in the fifth, posting a run behind Spruill before his exit. In the sixth, reliever Brett Lorin was charged with four runs - three earned - allowing a hit and issuing three walks before he was removed after completing just one out. Lorin was charged with his second loss of the season.

The second Aces reliever, Matt Wright, did not fare well either, giving up three runs on five hits through 1.2 innings.

Reno tried to mount a comeback in the later innings, but were unable to generate enough offense. Josh Wilson struck out to end the eighth, leaving the bases loaded, before Reno pushed across a run on a single by Chris Owings in the ninth.

The Aces combined for ten hits on the night, one more than the victorious 51's. Tony Campana tripled for the second-straight night, and recorded a multi-hit performance for the third-straight contest. Alfredo Marte went 2-for-3 with a double before he was removed as part of a double switch.

With the loss, Reno fell to 0-14 in Monday games this season.

The series continues Tuesday night at Cashman Field. RHP Charles Brewer (4-8, 4.95 ERA) will take the mound for Reno, while the 51's will counter with RHP Jacob deGrom (3-1, 3.00 ERA). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. PT, and all of the action can be heard live on KPLY 630 AM.

Reno returns home Friday for a four-game series against the Tacoma Rainiers. Tickets are available for the upcoming series, and all Aces home games, at RenoAces.com, by calling (775) 334-7000 or by visiting the Aces Ballpark Ticket Office.
