
Z's Lose 1-0 in Iowa

DES MOINES, Iowa - Edwin Maysonet drilled a two out single to score Donnie Murphy to break a scoreless tie and deliver the Iowa Cubs a 1-0 win in front of 6,238 at Principal Park.
Murphy led off the ninth inning with an infield hit. Darnell McDonald then ripped a two out double that advanced Murphy to third base. The Zephyrs turned to Chris Hatcher and Maysonet drilled the game winning single.
Brian Flynn had the longest outing of the season for a Zephyr starter. He worked seven and two third innings allowing just three hits in a no decision.
Jonathan Albaladejo took the loss allowing one run on two hits. Brian Schlitter earned the win working one scoreless frame.
The Z's fall to 51-53 on the season and the series is even at one.
Game Notes - The Zephyrs have played six one games and have dropped five of them.
