OKLAHOMA CITY - The Reno Aces (@Aces) grabbed a 3-0 first-inning lead and never looked back in a convincing 9-3 win over the Oklahoma City Dodgers Thursday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Tasked with facing former Ace Mike Bolsinger, Reno (61-64) scored three runs before the Dodgers stepped to the plate. Mike Freeman (@MikeBFree5) opened the game with a single and after Jordan Pacheco (@Jstylep) walked, Nick Evans drilled a run-scoring double to left.

Bolsinger continued to miss the strike zone while the Aces built their lead. Following Evans' RBI double, Bolsinger walked Danny Dorn and Brandon Drury, the latter forcing in a run. Matt Pagnozzi (@MattPagnozzi) added a sacrifice fly later in the inning to make it 3-0.

Backed with early run support, A.J. Schugel (@Schug_Knight) limited Oklahoma City (75-50) to just two base runners over the first three innings.

A wild pitch uncorked by Bolsinger in the third scored Todd Glaesmann (@toddglaesmann22) who was beaned earlier in the inning, pushing Reno's lead to four.

The Dodgers got on the board in the fourth when Schugel threw a wild pitch after a groundout moved Andy Wilkins to third base. They added another run in the fifth on a one-out RBI single by Jose Peraza.

The Aces tacked on two runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth to take a 9-1 lead. Evans hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth to make it 5-1, and a quick two-out rally followed when Dorn singled and Drury doubled to make it 6-1.

Reno sent nine batters to the plate in the following inning. Schugel ignited the rally with a two-out single, setting up Freeman and Pacheco who delivered a double and a single, extending the lead to six. Evans and Dorn drew back-to-back walks, forcing in another run, before Drury capped the Aces' run output with a bases-loaded infield single to short.

Freeman led the offense, going 3-for-6 with two doubles and three runs scored in the leadoff spot. Over the last four games, Freeman is batting .667 (14-for-21) with nine runs scored. He's hit safely in eight straight games.

Schugel (2-6) earned the win while Bolsinger (2-3) was tagged with the loss. R.J. Hively (@RHives) delivered three innings in relief to earn his first save.

Game three of the series is Friday night in Oklahoma City. Right-hander Blayne Weller (0-0, 5.40) makes his first start for the Aces against right-hander Joe Wieland (9-5, 4.60) for the Dodgers. First pitch is scheduled for 5:05 p.m. PST.

The Aces return to Reno for an eight-game homestand set to begin on Sunday against Nashville. Group outings are on-sale now at www.RenoAces.com or by calling (775) 334-4700. For up-to-date news and notes throughout the season, follow the club on Twitter (@aces) or like the team on Facebook.
