Alaska Aces News Release

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The Aces may be roughly 4,000 miles away from their home base in Anchorage for the next two weeks, but their games still will be broadcast live on KHAR AM 590 as well as the flagship home for Alaska pro hockey, KFQD AM 750.

The Aces, 29-15-4 overall and winners of 10 of their last 12 games, practice today in Sullivan Arena at 10:00 a.m. and take a 9:30 p.m. plane to Chicago tonight. Alaska has scheduled practices for tomorrow and Thursday at the Peoria Civic Center before meeting the Rivermen Friday night, February 18 at 4:30 p.m. AST in a game that will be broadcast on KHAR AM 590, one of the sister stations to KFQD under the Anchorage Media Group umbrella. Saturday's rematch against Peoria returns to KFQD AM 750 at 4:00 p.m. AST.

The Aces will bus to Dayton in time for a Sunday clash with the Bombers at 10:00 a.m. AST, with live coverage on KFQD. Next up for Alaska will be Toledo, currently tied for first place in the North Division with Wheeling, in a morning game on February 23 that can be heard on KFQD at 9:00 a.m. AST (tape delay).

The final game of the road trip will be played back in Peoria on February 24 at 4:00 p.m. AST, with a live broadcast on KHAR. Coverage of all four "live" games will begin 20 minutes prior to the opening face-off.

Alaska has won a club record-tying five straight games on the road, with all five victories coming at the expense of last-place Victoria last month. Peoria (22-17-5) faces a rematch with Johnstown tonight after blasting the Chiefs 7-1 Sunday. Last year, the Aces took two of three from the Rivermen at Sullivan Arena. Of course, all of the games on the Eastern trip can also be heard by logging onto www.alaskaaces.com.
