Academy Update: May 2024 Players of the Month

Following an action-packed month of May for the Inter Miami CF Academy presented by Baptist Health, we present to you the standout rising stars who earned Player of the Month honors.

To start off, it's U-13 Academy team defender Navid Farajzadeh that gets the nod as Player of the Month for our youngest age groups.

"Navid has been an anchor in defense and leader throughout the 2023-24 season. He capped the month of May with two goals from set pieces. He was also a key player as the team only allowed one goal in five games during the tournament and won the Inter Miami CF Youth International Cup title, and won the league title in the Florida MLS Next Division," said U-13 head coach Gibran Tevar.

Moving onto our Academy's mid-level age groups, it is U-15 player Matthias Vieux who gets selected as Player of the Month.

"Matthias has shown significant improvement in all phases of the game," highlighted U-15 head coach Pedro Cavalcangti. "His hard work, dedication and resiliency has made him an impactful player in recent games, specifically in the teams success at MLS Flex tournament which has qualified the u15 team to MLS Cup. We are proud of Matthias progress and improvement in his game understanding and execution.

To cap off Player of the Month selections for May, it is U-16 attacker Cadriano Marsh that earns the honors for our Academy's eldest age brackets.

"Cadriano performed at a high level throughout the month in UPSL, at the international tournament in Guadeloupe and at the MLS Flex tournament, while also playing up one age group with the U-17 team at the IMCF Youth International Cup. He scored nine goals and recorded three assists this past month, while also showing drastic improvements in defensive efforts along the way. We are also pleased to see that he was rewarded with an international call up for Jamaica next month due to his recent performances," said U-16 head coach Chris Nurse.
