Lake Elsinore, CA- The Lake Elsinore Storm, pioneers in Minor League promotions (April Fools Name Change, Michael Jackson Night, and Dr. Seuss Night) have raised the bar in 2005. On May 19 the Storm will unveil their own short film entitled, "Storm Wars", the Star Wars inspired film staring Storm mascots Thunder and Jack Pot, depicts the heroic duo fighting an evil fun-hating villain. The short film which will run between innings was created and produced entirely in-house by Storm Director of Graphic Communications, Mark Beskid. The in-house film is about 10 minuets in length and will debut on the same night as the final chapter in George Lucas' Star Wars saga. "The fact that we can produce our own shot film entirely in-house is a large testament to the quality of staff that we have. Mark (Beskid) is extremely talented, and having a graphic designer on staff full time is a huge benefit for our organization", commented Storm General Manager, Dave Oster.

In addition to "Storm Wars" the Storm will be passing out a Thunder-Vader figurine to the first 1000 fans through the gates that evening. The figuring shows Storm mascot Thunder dressed in full "Vader" attire, including a red light-saber. The limited edition collectable is also a first of it's kind in Minor League promotions. For more information on the "Storm Wars" promotion call the Storm at 951-245-4487.
