ROCKFORD, Ill. - Even though August 15th is an off day for the Rockford RiverHawks, the players will get plenty of practice on their swings-their golf swings, that is.
On Monday, August 15th, the RiverHawks will host their Third Annual Golf Outing, sponsored by Guerilla Graffix.
The festivities kick off at noon at Hooter's where there will be complimentary food and drinks. The shotgun start will be at 2:30 p.m. at Prairie View Golf Course in Byron. Following the tournament, all participants are invited to the 5th Alarm for prizes as well as complimentary food and drinks.
Each group of four will include either a RiverHawks' player or a member of the front office.
Hole sponsors include Old Chicago, T.G.I.Friday's, Hooter's, Saturn of Rockford, and Prairie View Golf Course. For more information about hole sponsorship or playing in the tournament, contact Josh Olerud at 815-964-2255.
The RiverHawks are the defending champions of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 13th season. Tickets are available by calling the box office at 964-BALL. All games are broadcasted live on WRHL-FM, 102.3 - the Hub.
