PORTLAND - March 8, 2015 - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, have acquired Omar Reed. He is expected to be in uniform for the Red Claws this afternoon in Erie. Additionally, the Red Claws have waived Chaz Williams.
Reed, a 6-foot-6 swingman, had been recently playing in Japan. He played with the Red Claws in the 2012-13 season. In 44 games, Reed averaged 5.4 points and 4.7 rebounds in 18.0 minutes per game.
The Red Claws play this afternoon at Erie, then Tuesday at Sioux Falls before returning home to the Portland Expo Friday, March 13 against the Iowa Energy. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
