Falcons Acquire Nathan Longpre from Chicago Wolves

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today they have acquired forward Nathan Longpre from the AHL's Chicago Wolves for future considerations. Longpre is expected to join the Falcons for practice on Wednesday.

Longpre has played in 39 games for the Wolves this season collecting eight goals and 10 assists for 18 points and four penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound native of Peterborough, Ontario is in his first full season of pro hockey after making his pro debut with the Worcester Sharks last season.

Prior to turning pro at the end of the 2010-11 campaign, Longpre played collegiately at Robert Morris University from 2007-2011. In 136 career games with the Colonials, he totaled 47 goals and 91 assists for 138 points. He recorded a career high 42 points in 33 games during his senior season.
