LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Gabriel Lino and Willie Carmona crushed solo home runs to the concourse above the berm in left field in the 2nd inning to propel the BlueClaws to a 4-0 win Saturday night over the Kannapolis Intimidators.

Lakewood didn't need any more offense in support of their pitching staff which combined on a three-hit shutout for their ninth team shutout in 2012.

Hoby Milner allowed four baserunners- two hits and two walks- over six innings while striking out six batters. His record is now at 5-3 on the season in 11 starts with the BlueClaws and an ERA that sits at 2.86.

The BlueClaws and Kannapolis continue their four-game series Saturday night at FirstEnergy Park. Lakewood will send Gabriel Arias (4-8, 3.82) to the mound to battle Kannapolis' southpaw Matt Lane (3-5, 4.97).

First pitch for Sunday's game is scheduled for 5:05 p.m. Listen to all the action on WOBM 1160-AM and WOBM 1310-AM beginning at 4:50 p.m. with the BlueClaws Beat pre-game show.
