67's Acquire All-Star Defenceman Pavel Mintyukov from Saginaw

OTTAWA - The Ottawa 67's have acquired 2022 OHL All-Star defenceman Pavel Mintyukov from the Saginaw Spirit, the team announced today. In return, the Barber Poles are sending nine picks in future Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection drafts to Saginaw.

"Pavel is an offensive player with an elite skill set, who will bring a dynamic element to our line-up," said 67's General Manager James Boyd. "We are pleased to welcome him to Ottawa, and excited to see him take to the ice in a Barber Poles Jersey."

Mintyukov, 19, is in the midst of his second season with the Spirit, and currently sits third in the OHL, with 54 points (16 goals and 38 assists), in 37 games. The Moscow, Russia native was selected in the first round, 52nd overall, by Saginaw in the 2020 CHL Import Draft, and during his rookie campaign of 2021-22, scored 17 goals and 45 assists, for 62 points in 68 games, earning Third Team OHL All-Star Honours.

During the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, Mintyukov was selected 10th overall by the Anaheim Ducks.
