LAS VEGAS: The Las Vegas 51s professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, will open an eight-game home stand on Monday, June 14 against the Portland Beavers, Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, at Cashman Field. All four games against the Beavers (Monday-Thursday, June 14-17) will begin at 7:10 p.m.

Las Vegas then will host the Edmonton Trappers, Triple-A affiliate of the Montreal Expos, from Friday-Monday, June 18-21. All games will begin at 7:10 p.m. except for the contest on Sunday, June 20 at 12:05 p.m. The Trappers will make their final appearance at Cashman Field. The franchise will begin play in Round Rock, Texas, in the 2005 PCL season.

The 51s, under first-year manager Terry Kennedy, are currently on an eight-game road trip that will conclude on Sunday afternoon at Edmonton.

On Thursday, June 17, the 51s will present Dollar Beer Night, presented by KOMP 92.3 FM. The following evening (Friday, June 18), Carl's Jr. Friends & Family Night and Cosmo's Movie Night, presented by the Principal Financial Group Family Fun Fest, will be featured. The Carl's Jr. deal includes: 4 reserved seats, 4 Carl's Jr. meals (Famous Star hamburger, fries, soft drink), 2 51s T-shirts and 2 51s hats, all for just $24.95. The 51s will celebrate Cosmo's Birthday, presented by 97.1 FM, The Point, with a post-game movie shown on the field immediately after the game. The movie will be Shrek. The Family Fun Fest will be open at 4 p.m. outside Cashman Field.

On Saturday, June 19, Star 102.7 FM Hawaiian Luau Night and Hideo Nomo Player Cards will highlight the evening. Hawaiian Luau Night, presented by TahitiPetey.com will feature the 51s players in special limited edition Hawaiian style jerseys, which will be auctioned off with the net proceeds benefiting a local charity. Tahiti.Petey.com will donate a free 7-day NCL Hawaiian Cruise for two around the Hawaiian Islands. The trip will include a balcony stateroom, plus roundtrip coach airfare from Las Vegas to Honolulu on either Hawaiian or Aloha airlines, plus all transfers and taxes. The estimated award value is $3,600. Hideo Nomo Player Cards will also be given out to the first 5,000 fans in attendance.

Tickets for all 51s home games can be purchased at the Cashman Field box office. Tickets can also be purchased through TicketMaster (474-4000, www.ticketmaster.com). TicketMaster outlets are located at Smith's Food & Drug, Tower Records and Nellis Air Force Base.

The individual game tickets for the home season are priced at $7.00 (general admission), $8.00 (reserved), $9.00 (plaza) and $11 (field). Military personnel receive a $2.00 discount on tickets for general admission, reserved and plaza seats all season long (except on July 2 & 3).
