
Tucson Sidewinders return home to face Tacoma Rainiers

Tucson, AZ - The Tucson Sidewinders, current owners of a 34-25 record, return home on Thursday, June 10, 2004 to host the Northern Division Tacoma Rainiers (Seattle Mariners) for a four game set. The Sidewinders went 2-2 on their most recent road trip to Portland (San Diego Padres), also of the Northern Division. The Tucson rotation have been pitching well lately with RHP Lance Cormier throwing the first complete game shutout of the season for the Sidewinders against Portland on 6/9.
The jam-packed home stand is highlighted by back-to-back giveaways of Lenticular Baseball Day in honor of Flag Day on Saturday, June 12 and Batting Helmet Day on Sunday, June 13. Military Appreciation Night will take place on Friday, June 11 and will feature a pre-game military flyover of 2 HH-60 helicopters from the 305th Rescue Squadron at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base and a post-game Fireworks Spectacular.
Also quickly approaching is the 4th of July Star Spangled Spectacular, in which fans can watch Tucson's only 3-D fireworks after the game. Good seats are still available. HOMESTAND HIGHLIGHTS:

FLAG DAY/LENTICULAR BASEBALL GIVEAWAY! - The first 2,000 fans with paid admission will receive this commemorative, one-of-a-kind baseball that highlights the "Stars and Stripes" of the American Flag in a 3-D fashion, sponsored by National Self Storage. The ball comes complete with a panel for autographs.
