LAS VEGAS, NV - Rafael Montero dealt seven shut-out innings allowing four hits to deliver the Las Vegas 51's a 3-2 win over the New Orleans Zephyrs at Cashman Field. Vegas won three of four in the series.

Montero picked up his fifth win of season to improve his record to 5-3. The Zephyrs picked up four hits off the starter and struck-out eight times.

The 51's two out rallies continued as Ruben Tejada singled home Brandon Hicks in the third inning to take a 1-0 lead. Vegas added another run in the fifth with a two out single from Travis d'Arnaud to score Kirk Nieuwenhuis.

Z's starter Sam Dyson (1-2) had a strong outing in the loss working 5.1 innings, allowed two runs on six hits.

The 51's added a third run in the seventh inning with a lead-off double from Nieuwenhuis he advanced to third on a sac bunt and scored on sac fly from Lucas Duda.

Kyle Skipworth tripled and Chris Valaika followed it up with a two run home run to provide the only runs of the night in the eighth. The Z's ninth inning rally was extinguished when John Church picked up his second save.

The Z's completed the road-trip going 2-6 and fell to (61-65) on the season.
