MONTREAL - Since the away game at Pachuca Tuesday night, more than 3,000 tickets have been sold for the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinal series with Mexican club Pachuca, which will be played on Tuesday, March 3, at Olympic Stadium. ( http://marquonslhistoire.com ).
Over 1,500 tickets were sold during the day on Wednesday alone, five times more tickets when compared to the daily sales pace of recent weeks.
As such, the Impact has sold over 20,000 tickets for this decisive aggregate goal series matchup.
"It feels like there is more interest for this crucial match," noted executive vice president of soccer operations Richard Legendre. "We have reached our objective with a 2-2 draw in Mexico because it is an excellent result under very difficult conditions. However, we are only half way there. There is still work to be done and we count on the support of our 12th player to help us make history and reach the Champions League semifinals for the very first time."
In the meantime, the organization invites supporters to welcome the 2015 edition of the club this Saturday at 7:30pm at Olympic Stadium, as part of Nuit Blanche. The Impact will unveil its new, white jersey, during a presentation of the staff and the players. Activities are open to the public and free of charge. Stadium doors open at 5pm, and the Impact Soccer Schools will be on hand to demonstrate some of its training features throughout the event.
Tickets for the historic game on March 3 are available via http://marquonslhistoire.com and ticketmaster.ca (1-855-790-1245), as well as at the ticket offices of Stade Saputo and Olympic Stadium.
