2010 IFL MVP Headed to Lehigh Valley

March 7, 2012 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Lehigh Valley Steelhawks News Release

Bethlehem, PA: The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks are excited to announce the acquisition of 2010 IFL League MVP Bryan Randall to the roster after a trade was completed yesterday with the Allen Wranglers. The Steelhawks acquired Randall's rights for future considerations and expect to have the signal caller in uniform for this weekend's Home Opener.

Randall, a 6'2 quarterback rose to fame in the collegiate ranks at Virginia Tech University where he was named the ACC Player of the Year in 2004. Following his Senior season he was picked up by the Atlanta Falcons and spent 2005 on their practice squad. He has also had stints with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League.

In 2010, Randall was signed by the Richmond Revolution in the Indoor Football League and quickly emerged as one of the league's top players. His 58 touchdown passes, 12 rushing touchdowns and over 2,000 passing yards earned Randall the 2010 League MVP Award while leading his team to a 13-1 record.

This season, Randall was signed to the Allen Wranglers where he earned the starting Quarterback position for their nationally televised game on ESPN 3 in Week One. As many fans remember, it was the first game of Terrell Owens career in the IFL, and Randall found the future NFL Hall of Famer for three touchdown strikes.

"The mission of our front office and coaching staff this year was to show the rest of the IFL that the Steelhawks will be a force to be reckoned with this season," stated Head Coach Chris Thompson. "By acquiring a special talent like Bryan Randall, we are showing our fans and our loyal partners that we intend to make good on our efforts. We couldn't be more thrilled to have Bryan join the Steelhawks family."

The Steelhawks Home Opener this Sunday will be the fans first look at Randall and will be presented by Family Dentistry, Dr. Cresseveur-Reed, and will be jam-packed with fun and entertainment throughout the night. Before the game, fans are invited to come out and tailgate with live music as the Birds of Prey will be performing. A special halftime performance will feature Drummers with Attitude, a local bucket-drumming group, and lots of prizes and giveaways will happen throughout the evening.
