
James Temple Named Week 2 Defensive Player of the Week

Bloomington, IL, 3/7/12 - Bloomington Edge defensive back James Temple has been named the IFL Vidswap.com Defensive Player of the Week for week 2. Temple was a big part of Bloomington's 55-44 victory over the Chicago Slaughter at U.S. Cellular Coliseum last Saturday night.
Temple grabbed an IFL season-high three interceptions and recorded 15 total tackles (6 unassisted, 9 assisted) and one pass break-up. Temple currently leads the IFL with four interceptions. One of the interceptions saved a touchdown in his own end zone as the clock ran out at halftime. Another set up scoring drive for the Edge.
For the season Temple has a total of 23 tackles. 9 are solo tackles and 14 were assisted. He also has the 4 interceptions and 24 yards from interceptions. He has been a major part of the Edge defense and his solid play should continue to help the Edge win games.
