Colorado Ice Head to Kennewick, Washington

March 7, 2012 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Colorado Crush News Release

Fort Collins, CO-The Colorado Ice Professional Indoor Football team head to Kennewick, Washington to take on the Tri-Cities Fever this Saturday March 10, 2012.

The Colorado Ice (1-1) looks to build on their success from the previous week when they crushed the Wyoming Cavalry 72-36. After falling short in their season opener against the New Mexico Stars the Ice made the adjustments necessary to lead them to victory.

The Ice's strong defense will be key for this game as they look to break the Tri-Cities Fever winning streak. The Ice will be up against the Fever's hot offense that is scoring 54 points per game thus far in 2012. However, the Ice held the Cavalry to only 36 points in last week's game, with Chris Bradwell (#93) and Darius Hart (#91) combining for 5 sacks. Another strong performance by the offensive should keep the Fever's potent offense on the sidelines, as QB David Knighton (#5) and WR Jessie Poku (#85) look to continue their offensive output against the Tri-Cities Fever. If the game is close, the Ice will look to CJ Lovett (#7) to provide a spark in the return game.

Kickoff is slated for 8:05 p.m. MST. For fans who wish to follow the team on the road visit www.thecoloradoice.com homepage and click on 1310 KFKA AM to listen to the game, America One to watch the game or follow live stats at www.poinstreak.com.

The Ice returns to the Budweiser Events Center March 18, 2012 to square off against the Allen Wranglers. Tickets for this game are available and can be purchased by contacting the Colorado Ice office at (970) 472-0128.
