
Indoor Football League Names Week 2 Players of the Week

RICHMOND VA.- The Indoor Football League (IFL) has named Chicago RB Daniel DuFrene, DB James Temple and KR B.J Hill Vipswap.com's Week 2 IFL Players of the Week. Chicago RB DuFrene was awarded IFL Offensive Player of the Week. Bloomington DB James Temple and Green Bay KR B.J Hill have been named Vidswap.com's IFL Defensive Player of the Week and IFL Special Teams Player of the Week, respectively.
IFL Offensive Player of the Week: Despite the loss to the Bloomington Edge, Chicago RB Daniel DuFrene (5'10,210, Illinois) had a stellar day running the ball. DuFrene finished with 16 rushing attempts for 119 yards and three touchdowns. He averaged 7.4 yards per carry and had touchdown scoring runs of 18, 15 and 10 yards. DuFrene is currently the league leader in rushing yards with 159 and is third in yards per rush (min. 10 rushes).
IFL Defensive Player of the Week: Temple (6'0, 205, Illinois State) had a defensive performance for the record books last Sunday vs. the Chicago Slaughter. Chicago had three turnovers vs. Bloomington and Temple had a hand in creating every one. He snatched an IFL season- high three interceptions as well as recorded 15 total tackles (6 unassisted, 9 assisted) and one pass break-up. Temple currently leads the IFL with four interceptions.
IFL Special Teams Player of the Week: Hill (5'9,180, Ball State) continues to show teams how dangerous he can be when teams kick off to him. Hill returned two kicks for touchdowns in a 23 point victory vs. Reading. Hill returned a 57 yard missed Field Goal for a touchdown as well as a 40 yard kickoff for touchdown vs. the Express. He was not just a force on special teams however, Hill also finished the game with two interceptions, three tackles and one tackle for loss.
