The Checkers staff, players and owners would like to pass along a huge THANKS to all who made the trip to Cricket Arena to see the Checkers drop the puck on a new season. Without the awesome support that you the fans give, there would be no hockey here in Charlotte, so you are a very important part of our team. We hope that you will continue to come out and support your team and cheer them on to the post season.

Come out to Cricket Arena and watch the Checkers take on some of the ECHL's finest while enjoying $1 soda and $1 beer specials. The fun starts when the doors open and lasts all night long! SAVES FOR KIDS SAVE-A-THON CHECKERS GOALIES TEAM UP TO HELP KIDS
This season the Checkers goalies will be participating in a "Saves for Kids" save-a-thon. Money pledged by fans and businesses for each save made by a Checkers goalie will be donated to a Children's Charity to help sick kids and their families through very tough times. If you would like to help out with the "Saves for Kids" save-a-thon, make your pledge today for the month of October by calling the Checkers front office at 704-342-4-ICE. The Checkers staff and team thank you in advance for your donation and support.
