
Annual "Golf for Kids" Event Generates Over $24,000

Hartford, October 22, 2003 -- The Hartford Wolf Pack's fourth annual "Golf for Kids" Tournament raised a total of $24,600 in funds for The Children's Home of Cromwell. The event took place last Tuesday, October 14th at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell.
The golf tournament is an integral part of the Hartford Wolf Pack Community Foundation's charitable work, which raised over $109,000 last year. A total of 169 golfers took to the course last Tuesday, and the amount donated to The Children's Home represents more than double what was made on last season's tournament.
The Children's Home is a residential treatment center and special education school for over 100 abused, neglected and troubled Connecticut children between the ages of eight and 18.
The Wolf Pack return to action this Friday night, October 24th in Bridgeport (7:35 faceoff), and will be back on home ice this weekend for a pair of games. The Manchester Monarchs visit the Hartford Civic Center on Saturday evening (7:05) and the Pack entertain the Lowell Lock Monsters on Sunday at 4:05 PM.
