CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Barons today announced that they were assigned defenseman Christian Ehrhoff from the San Jose Sharks Sharks, and reassigned Willie Levesque to Johnstown and Greg Labenski to Kalamazoo. Wayne Thomas, General Manager of the Barons, made the announcement.
Ehrhoff made his North American debut with the Sharks on November 9th against Edmonton. The rookie defenseman played in three of the Sharks six regular season games without recording a point. The 6'2", 185-pound blueliner is expected to join the Barons for their 5-game road trip beginning tomorrow in San Antonio.
Levesque, a forward, was assigned to Johnstown (ECHL). The second year professional did not play a game with the Barons this season due to injury. Last season, the 6'0", 200-pound right wing played 64 games for the Barons scoring 4 goals and 5 assists.
Labenski was assigned to Kalamazoo (UHL). In three games with the Barons this season, Labenski recorded 4 penalty minutes.
