12 Former Buccaneers in NCAA DI Hockey Tournament

Urbandale (IA) The Des Moines Buccaneers are proud to report that 12 former players are a part of collegiate programs that have been selected for the 2012 NCAA Division I men's hockey tournament beginning this weekend.

Boston University Alex Chiasson ('08-'09), Yasin Cisse ('08-'10), Ryan Ruikka ('06-'07), Ryan Santana ('07-'08)

Cornell Locke Jillson ('07-'08)

Denver Nate Dewhurst ('06-'08), Chris Knowlton ('06-'09)

Maine Nick Pryor ('08-'09)

Minnesota Taylor Matson ('06-'08), Michael Shibrowski ('11-'12)

Minnesota-Duluth Aaron Crandall ('08-'09)

North Dakota Joe Gleason ('08-'09)

The Des Moines Buccaneers are two points out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference with nine games remaining in the season. The Bucs are at Fargo for games this Friday and Saturday night before their next home game March 30th versus Sioux City.

The Des Moines Buccaneers are playing their 32nd consecutive season in the United States Hockey League beginning in the fall of 2011. Since 1980, the Buccaneers have produced hundreds of NCAA Division I players and dozens of professional alumni.
