Hershey Bears Name Bill Downey Video Coach

August 27, 2025 - (Hershey, PA) - The Washington Capitals, the National Hockey League (NHL) affiliate of the Hershey Bears, announced today that the club has hired Bill Downey as Hershey's video coach. The announcement was made by Hershey Bears vice president of hockey operations Bryan Helmer and Washington Capitals senior vice president and general manager Chris Patrick. August 19, 2025 - (Hershey, PA) - The Hershey Bears have signed forward Patrick Guzzo and defenseman John Fusco to American Hockey League contracts for the 2025-26 season. Purner served as video coach for Hershey for three seasons after he joined the staff in 2022. The Glens Falls, New York native helped Hershey to back-to-back Calder Cup titles in 2023 and 2024.
