Spurs Slip Past Legends

February 11, 2016 - FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends (16-15) split the week's series with the Austin Spurs (20-11) after a 91-95 loss in Frisco Wednesday night. Demetri McCamey led the Spurs' efforts in the first as the visitors got off to a 23-14 lead. The Legends rebounded with 62% shooting while smothering Austin to 17% to take over the second. Tu Holloway Named as Replacement for 2016 NBA Development League All-Star

February 9, 2016 - FRISCO, TX - The NBA Development League announced today that Texas Legends guard Tu Holloway has been named as a replacement on the Western Conference team at the 2016 NBA D-League All-Star Game, presented by Kumho Tire. The game will air live on NBA TV on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 1 p.m. CT. Holloway (6-0, 190, Xavier) ranks eighth in the NBA D-League in scoring (20.8 ppg) and seventh in assists (5.9 apg) to go with 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 35.7 minutes over 30 games for the Legends. Legends Acquire Justin Martin

February 8, 2016 - FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends announced today that they have acquired forward Justin Martin from the available player pool. Martin (6-6, 205, SMU) played in Germany prior to coming to the Legends averaging 9.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in nine games. In three seasons at Xavier, Martin played 94 games and averaged 11.7 points, 5.2 rebounds his junior season before transferring to Southern Methodist University. February 6, 2016 - FRISCO, TX - Texas Legends guard Patrick Miller recorded a new season-high 23 points off the bench as the team defeated the Austin Spurs 108-107 in front of a "pinked out" crowd at Dr Pepper Arena. The two teams split the first quarter, each taking an eight-point advantage between two lead changes.
