Hershey Head Coach Todd Nelson Hired by Pittsburgh Penguins

June 20, 2025 - (Hershey, PA) - The National Hockey League's Pittsburgh Penguins have announced the hire of Todd Nelson as an assistant coach. Nelson spent the last three seasons as head coach of the Hershey Bears, leading the team to back-to-back Calder Cup championships in his first two seasons, and winning the Louis A.R. Pieri Memorial Award in 2023-24 as the American Hockey League's outstanding coach. Bears Re-Sign Forward Micah Miller for 2025-26

June 18, 2025 - (Hershey, PA) - The Hershey Bears announced today that the club has re-signed forward Micah Miller to an American Hockey League contract for the 2025-26 season. The announcement was made by Hershey vice president of hockey operations Bryan Helmer. Miller, 26, skated in two games with the Bears this past season, making his Hershey debut on Dec. 27 versus Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Miller spent the rest of the season with Hershey's ECHL affiliate, the South Carolina Stingrays, striking for a career-best 53 points (21g, 32g) ... Full Story

Bears Re-Sign Forward Grant Cruikshank

June 17, 2025 - (Hershey, PA) - The Hershey Bears announced today that the club has re-signed forward Grant Cruikshank to an American Hockey League contract for the 2025-26 season. The announcement was made by Hershey vice president of hockey operations Bryan Helmer. Cruikshank, 26, appeared in 31 games for Hershey in 2024-25, scoring seven points (5g, 2a). June 7, 2025 - ARLINGTON, Va. - The National Hockey League announced today that Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery is the recipient of the 2024-25 Jack Adams Award, presented to the head coach "adjudged to have contributed the most to his team's success" as voted by members of the NHL Broadcasters' Association.
