January 10, 2026 - EDINBURG, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers (5-3), the NBA G League affiliate of the Houston Rockets, obtained a 131-119 victory over the Greensboro Swarm (6-3) on Saturday night at Bert Ogden Arena. The Vipers had control of the game the entire first half and led by as many as 30 points. January 9, 2026 - EDINBURG, TX - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers (4-3), the NBA G League affiliate of the Houston Rockets, snapped the Greensboro Swarm's (6-2) six-game win streak after a 120-115 victory on Friday night at Bert Ogden Arena. Kings Defend Throne against Vipers

January 8, 2026 - STOCKTON, Calif. - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers (3-3), the NBA G League affiliate of the Houston Rockets, fell 128-115 to the Stockton Kings (4-3) on Wednesday night at Adventist Arena. The Kings dominated the entire first, second and third quarter. Stockton led by as many as 34 points at one point and outscored the Vipers 104-72, at the end of the third. Vipers Acquire Tyler Smith

January 6, 2026 - EDINBURG, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced today the team has acquired the returning player rights to Tyler Smith from the Capital City Go-Go. In exchange, RGV has agreed to trade a first and second round pick in the 2026 NBA G League Draft. Additionally, the Vipers have also agreed to trade a second-round pick in the 2027 NBA G League Draft and the rights to Thon Maker to Capital City.
